Job Title:  Temporary Training Document Management Clerk

The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

 

Greenstone Mine is seeking a Temporary Training Document Management Clerk to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Training Coordinator, the Temporary Training Document Management Clerk is responsible for maintaining training documents and records for site wide Operation.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: 

 

•    Collect, manage, confirm, maintain an active database of employee training records in compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations.
•    Responsible for the tracking and storage of all related training documentation.
•    Manage safety orientation documentation for new workers, promotions, or transfer workers through the designated records management systems.
•    Enter/update employee information, department changes, job title, etc., as required.
•    Serve as an administrator for our records management systems.
•    Facilitate required changes to our records management system (updating document requirements, versions, etc.)
•    Verify training documentation has been properly and fully completed.
•    Coordinate with external training providers – keep track of sessions, registration, and certifications.
•    Work with our Health and Safety Team to manage and analyze training data.
•    Create/Run compliance reports as requested by leadership.
•    Support departmental supervision and trainers as needed, with employee data searches.
•    Provide technical support to records management system users to resolve access issues, password/login/access level, etc.
•    Other support tasks as required by leadership.
•    Take ownership of projects and work independently within a team environment to reach departmental and company goals.
•    Support operational goals by modeling corporate values and best practices.

•    Knowledge of different manual and electronic document control systems.

•    Proficient in various MS Office Applications

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION 

 

•    High school diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) or combination of education and pertinent work-related experience
•    Familiar with SharePoint, Learning Management System, Teams, Adobe Acrobat and competent with Microsoft office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel,
•    Relevant document management experience, preferably in the Mining Industry.
•    Experience in cross cultural work environment is an asset.

 

LOCATION

 

This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario on a Monday to Friday schedule.

 

Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up point locations.
