Castle Mountain is an open-pit heap leach gold mine located in California, USA. Phase 1 operations commenced in November 2020 with the expectation of producing more than 200,000 ounces of gold per year. Equinox Gold is permitting a Phase 2 expansion that will add a small mill for higher-grade ore, extend the mine life to 21 years and increase production to more than 218,000 ounces of gold annually.
