Mine is seeking a Mine Operations Senior Dispatcher to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, the Mine Operations Senior Dispatcher is responsible to oversee the operation and implementation of the mine dispatchers. Being the main point of contact between the Mine Superintendent and the Mine Dispatch team, they will be responsible for:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Advocate for company safety values and protocols through positive leadership.
- Foster a culture of safety through positive leadership, ensuring all team members adhere to safety standards and procedures
- Ensure team compliance with relevant legislation, operational standards, and company policies
- Ensure proper documentation of compliance
- Actively monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet utilization, operational efficiency, and safety
- Capture and analyze data to provide feedback and identify areas for improvement to team
- Work with team to maintain data integrity and accuracy
- Fleet utilization, advise Production Supervisors on possible improvements
- Planning & executing continuous operation of haul fleet by managing operator breaks.
- Support the team in achieving targets set out in the daily plan.
- Create and monitor daily reports, for Senior Supervisors, and Superintendent.
- Monitor equipment utilization against targets and adjust as required
- Ensure that the fleet is operating in alignment with the crusher's needs to maximize operational efficiency.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of Ontario legislation.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in language of operation.
- Advanced knowledge/expertise in CAT MineStar.

- Ability to make confident decisions.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Minimum of 8 years open pit mining.
- Able to work in a secluded work area for extended periods of time.
LOCATION
- This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario
The salary range for this position is from $116,908.20 to $142,887.80.
