Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mine Maintenance Planner to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Mine Maintenance Planner, the Mine Maintenance Planner is responsible for
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Be familiar with and adhere to all Greenstone safety policies and best practices and develop work plans in compliance with these policies. Always encourage a safe and productive workplace.
- Attend daily control meetings to be consulted and informed of operational changes, breakdowns, and found work. Adjust the weekly schedule and three-month plan to accommodate the mine plan requirements and budget.
- Review the breakdown and found work backlog, follow-up with the execution team, and plan corrective work accordingly.
- Develop the monthly plan and weekly schedule in compliance with the operational needs and budget of the mine, and the priority of work.
- Determine, requisition, and acquire all trades, parts, services, and support equipment required for approved planned work using the SAP CMMS, and ensure their availability prior to the work being scheduled.
- Stay appraised of asset health, review and revise benchmarks, maintain equipment and component history, forecast and provide input for monthly and annual budgets, and plan the approved budgeted work.
- Review and provide recommendations of stocked items, rebuildable components, and critical spares.
- Conduct daily worksite visits for planned maintenance and project shutdowns. Support the execution team and update the project work timeline to reflect the changing situation.
- Host pre-shutdown work meetings to ensure all stakeholders understand work activities, and conduct after action reviews to continually improve the work planning process.
- Communicate all changes to the plan and schedule to all stakeholders consistently and accurately.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Trade Certification or equivalent professional work experience with maintenance work routines.
- 3+ years’ experience with computerized maintenance information systems and maintenance practice/methods is essential.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office and a familiarity with Microsoft Project.
- Experience with SAP or another modern CMMS is an asset.
- 3+ years’ experience with the maintenance of mobile equipment.
- Prior experience in an industrial setting - mine site experience is an asset.
LOCATION
- This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario on a 14-day in/out rotation.
