Job Summary

We are seeking a Materials and Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Superintendent, the Materials and Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing all materials, master data, and commodities related to inventory, while upholding GGM’s core values and mission statement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide SAP EWM support and training to the Supply Chain department, including RF technology and troubleshooting.
  • Support the warehouse operations.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reports.
  • Monitor Supply Chain SAP errors and report them to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate material requirements (min/max levels) in SAP with relevant departments.
  • Create and manage material master data, including info records, source lists, and product masters.
  • Create and run master data scripts using Winshuttle.
  • Work with vendors as required, including building and managing consignment inventory.
  • Implement actions to reduce inventory levels and increase turnover.
  • Monitor for obsolete materials and coordinate resolution with the appropriate departments.
  • Participate in resolving non-conforming materials.
  • Assist with invoice resolution (AP issues) and SAP corrections.
  • Manage cycle counting by initiating counts, analyzing results, and reconciling in SAP.
  • Be an interface between buyers and warehouse personnel regarding materials, including managing the RDR process.
  • Update MySDS and assist with audits as required.
  • Perform research in SAP to support physical counts and audits.
  • Perform month-end activities, including consumption tracking.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure audit compliance.

 

Required Experience and Skill Set

  • 1+ year of work experience in inventory analysis, material management, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with IMS/WMS, specifically SAP would be considered an asset.

    The salary range for this position is from $71,890.00 to $87,864.00.
