Job Summary:

Highly skilled workers in the electrical/instrumentation craft who perform at or above a journeyman level including but not limited to removal, repair and installation of electrical components, electrical systems analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization. Employees may mentor or train other electrical employees.  Employee will work under minimal supervision where the primary objective is safe production

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Removal, repair and installation of electrical components, electrical systems, analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization. May mentor or train other electrical workers
  • Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction
  • Must have strong knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of: AC drives, PAC's, calibration of field transmitters/transducers, and low voltage equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment (i.e.: substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation and pneumatic equipment
  • Ability to perform installations and renovations compliant with regulatory agency standards.voltage equipment
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work area instructions, participates in safety and environmental activities, uses plant and equipment correctly at all times
  • Plan small scale projects including bill of materials, layout, and schedule
  • Safely move/maneuver large equipment in close proximity to other equipment, persons and physical structures without endangering themselves or others due to vision (20/40 corrected both eyes) or hearing (vocal and mechanical warnings) deficiencies
  • Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business needs.  Including non-electrical tasks.

 

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment. This includes the ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair.
  • Experience with PLC, working with low and medium voltages. Experience with AC and/or DC controls, Instrumentation devices, diagnostic electrical test equipment, and HVAC experience.

 

 

 

The annual pay-range for this position is from $73,600 – $ 124,500.00, based on experience.
