Job Summary:

The Process Supervisor will be responsible for safety, environment, and production within the scope of process operations including the CIC Plant, leach pads, and associated utilities.  She/he is expected to understand the key drivers for safe production within the process group and work to execute the group’s objectives by providing direction to the CIC plant and leach pad operators.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe and cost-effective operation of the CIC plant and leach pad
  • Provide guidance and direction to plant operators, and schedule plant activities in order to meet established process targets and goals
  • Be knowledgeable in the operation of CIC plants and be able to determine the root causes of potential problems to processes and work to troubleshoot them
  • Develop employees by performing and providing regular feedback during evaluations, training, development, and coaching
  • Maintain effective work relationships with other departments (Mining, Safety, Environmental, and HR) and work groups within the Process department (maintenance, lab)
  • Development of new practices and/or procedures as required with the appropriate involvement/review of materials from other departments, sites, and/or agencies
  • Identify and investigate Process Department improvement opportunities through new processes and initiative
  • Coordinate needs for supplies, maintenance, equipment, and personnel with other departments and suppliers
  • Provide demonstrated leadership of company values through their words and actions and be a key driver in establishing a continuous improvement mindset throughout the department
  • Direct and perform monthly, weekly, and daily safety meetings, and general and oversight inspections in all areas
  • Demonstrated familiarity working around gold recovery circuits, the associated chemical handling, and respective hazards
  • Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations and accompanying site inspectors or auditors
  • Recruit new personnel as required
  • Completion of monthly required KPIs

 

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BS Chemistry/Metallurgy or 5 years of relevant experience in the areas of gold ore processing such as leaching, carbon handling, refining, among others.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience, preferred
  • Microsoft Office, hand and power tools, written and verbal communication
  • Process and mobile equipment

 

The annual pay-range for this position is from $96,200 - $100,900  based on experience.
