This is an onsite, in office position. Candidates may be located in or around any of the following areas:  Surrounding areas of Las Vegas, NV; Henderson, NV / Surrounding areas of Yuma, AZ. / Imperial Valley, CA.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Organizational Development Coordinator supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of organizational development initiatives that align employee performance, leadership capability, and workforce effectiveness with business objectives. This position coordinates programs focused on employee development, leadership training, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement, and change management. The role partners with our Learning Management & Systems Administrator, leaders and employees across the organization to foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and organizational excellence. This position is primarily office-based and requires frequent interaction with employees, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership, with occasional travel to operational sites as required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer organizational development programs, including leadership development, employee training, career development, and succession planning initiatives, in partnership with HR and business leaders.
  • Support the development and implementation of talent management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate employee engagement surveys, focus groups, and feedback initiatives; analyze results and recommend improvements.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, competency development, and talent assessment.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs, employee development sessions, leadership workshops, and organizational development meetings.
  • Assist business leaders in identifying capability gaps and developing workforce development solutions.
  • Support the Learning Management & Systems Administrator in coordinating training schedules, learning management systems, training records, and development metrics.
  • Develop presentations, communications, and learning resources that support organizational development initiatives.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by coordinating communications, training, stakeholder engagement, readiness activities, and implementation tracking.
  • Compile and analyze workforce and talent data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate organizational development programs and processes, gather stakeholder feedback, and recommend improvements based on program outcomes and business needs.
  • Maintain organizational development documentation, policies, procedures, and program records.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to support organizational design and workforce planning activities.
  • Track and report key organizational development metrics, including training participation, employee engagement, retention, and development outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, collaboration, accountability, and employee growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Participate in occasional early morning or evening training sessions, meetings, and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Talent Management, or related areas.
  • Experience coordinating employee training, leadership development, or workforce planning programs.
  • Knowledge of performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness principles.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting workforce data and metrics.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, HRIS systems, and learning management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar professional certification is preferred.

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Education, or a related field.

 

Working Conditions:
Work is performed at an active mine site that may include open pit mining, processing facilities, leach pads, maintenance areas, and office environments. Employees may be exposed to extreme weather conditions associated with a desert climate, including high heat, cold temperatures, wind, dust, and occasional precipitation or flash flooding. Depending on the role, work areas may involve proximity to large mobile equipment, moving mechanical parts, blasting activities, noise, vibration, diesel exhaust fumes, chemicals, fuels, oils, airborne particles, or other industrial hazards typical of mining operations. Outdoor work on uneven or rough terrain is common for many roles. Employees may encounter desert wildlife and native plant life. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as determined by job duties, task hazards, and work location. PPE includes, but is not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, and other PPE as determined by job task and location.

Physical Demands:
Manual dexterity; handling and grasping; fingering and fine motor skills; speaking clearly; hearing in speech, radio, and environmental ranges; seeing, reading, and comprehension; near and distant vision; depth perception. While performing job responsibilities, employees must be able to communicate effectively and maintain situational awareness in an active mining environment. Physical activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or working on uneven surfaces. Use of hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, controls, or computer systems is required. Specific physical demand requirements will be provided during the interview process. Employees may be required to work while wearing the required PPE, including respiratory and hearing protection. The salary range for this position is from $33.32 to $40.00.
