Greenstone Mine is seeking a Gold Room Security Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, the Gold Room Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding all assets within the gold room, maintaining a secure environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The role demands vigilance, integrity, and the ability to respond to emergencies effectively while adhering to safety and confidentiality standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Monitor access to the gold room, allowing entry only to authorized personnel.
• Supervise the transfer and storage of gold and other valuables.
• Observe and report suspicious activities or security breaches promptly.
• Enforce adherence to company policies, including health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, asset movements, and security checks.
• Conduct regular audits of security systems and protocols to ensure efficiency.
• Operate and monitor security equipment, including CCTV systems and alarm panels.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure all security devices are functioning correctly.
• Act as the first responder during security incidents or emergencies.
• Assist in evacuations or lockdowns, following established protocols.
• Work closely with other departments, such as operations and management, to maintain gold room integrity.
• Prepare detailed incident reports for management and law enforcement when required.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Incident report writing and presentation skills.
• Mining experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and make decisions independently when required.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience within the security, military, or law enforcement community.
• Able to operate Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Proficient in the use of computers and other communications devices.
• Able to follow instructions and guidelines as related to gold security

• This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario.
