Job Summary

We are seeking an Asset Reliability Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Asset Management Superintendent, the Asset Reliability Specialist is responsible for supporting the safe and productive operation of support loaders and wheel dozers of varying operating weights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete and accurate records and plans within the computerized maintenance management system related to equipment specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and failure history.
  • Design and manage the condition-based maintenance (CBM) program.
  • Identify and manage a system of continuous improvement to ensure resolution of chronic “bad actor” equipment.
  • Work closely with maintenance planners to support the creation of equipment repair best practices.
  • Investigate new technologies to support reliability improvements.
  • Analyze significant equipment failures to determine root causes.
  • Maintain equipment history and perform analysis to identify future trends.

 

Required Experience and Skill Set

  • Self-motivated and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems such as Oracle or JD Edwards is required, with SAP preferred.
  • Care and control of all predictive maintenance equipment, including vibration analyzers, thermal imaging devices, strobes, and tachometers.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Asset Reliability Specialist or similar role experience preferred.

Job Conditions

  • This position is based in Geraldton, Ontario.

Certifications

  • Industrial Trades Certification.
  • Vibration Analysis Level II Certification preferred.
  • Infrared Thermography Level I Certification preferred.
  • Ultrasound Level I Certification preferred.
  • Oil Analysis Level I Certification preferred.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

 

The salary range for this position is from $129,828.00 to $157,176.00.
