Job Title:  Recruiter

The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Recruiter to join our team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the Recruiter is responsible for end-to-end recruitment for mining and mill operations, maintenance, processing, and site support roles. This role partners with hiring managers and site leadership to forecast workforce needs, build diverse pipelines, and deliver a timely, candidate-centric hiring experience. Success in this role requires strong sourcing skills across different disciplines, along with familiarity with mine-site schedules and compliance.

This position would be site based with a 4 days on 3 days off, or 5 days on 2 days off schedule if local. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source skilled trades (e.g., heavy equipment technicians, millwrights, electricians), operators, and other roles as assigned.
  • Screen applicants for qualifications, safety mindset, certifications (e.g., Red Seal, H2S, WHMIS), and roster availability. 
  • Coordinate structured behavioral and technical interviews; train hiring teams on bias-aware, competency-based interviews.
  • Maintain consistent, timely candidate communication; oversee background checks, medicals, and pre-access requirements.
  • Partner with HR/Payroll to facilitate onboarding logistics, camp/housing arrangements, and travel.

 

Required Experience and Skill Set

  • 1+ year of full cycle recruiting experience, preferably in mining, heavy industry, construction, energy, or skilled trades.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting for roster-based roles and multiple disciplines (e.g., operations, maintenance).
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Knowledge of employment standards and safety-first culture requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and candidate communication.
  • Experience recruiting in Northern/remote regions with travel to site locations.
  • Familiarity with industry certifications (e.g., Red Seal trades, Mine Rescue, WHMIS, CSTS).
  • Exposure to Indigenous/First Nations community engagement and local workforce development.
  • Campus recruiting or apprenticeship program coordination.
  • Knowledge of compensation structures for shift-based roles (e.g., shift premiums, travel).

      The salary range for this position is from $82,548.00 to $100,891.65.
