The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Job Summary
We are seeking a Mining Heavy Equipment Technology Specialist Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Senior Supervisor, the Mining Heavy Equipment Technology Specialist Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all departmental initiatives, with a focus on the preventive maintenance of site assets and equipment. This team will focus on diagnosing and troubleshooting functions related to equipment onboard systems, MineStar technology, Motion Metrics, and teleoperation equipment.
This position will be on a 14-days-on / 14-days-off rotation, based at the mine site in Geraldton, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Mine Operations, Workshops, and Field teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure that work areas, tools, and equipment are regularly inspected for safety and cleanliness.
- Assist in accident and incident investigations when required.
- Liaise with other supervisors regarding day-to-day workshop activities and project requirements.
- Inspect facilities periodically to identify issues and required maintenance.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate required work.
- Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance technicians.
- Contribute to the development of the Mobile Maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and Health and Safety regulations.
Required Experience and Skill Set
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
