Job Summary

We are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Senior Planner. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Superintendent, the Mobile Maintenance Senior Planner is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintains reliability-based maintenance strategies, particularly for mobile equipment. They focus on preventing and predicting maintenance needs, coordinating resources, and optimizing schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability. They also train team members, monitor performance, and collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance planning function to ensure that the work scheduling process is being performed and meeting targeted KPIs.
  • Prepare a rolling twelve-month forecast of major component change-outs according to the equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Continually review the work order history to optimize component change-out intervals and eliminate recurring defects.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget (operating and capital) for the department. 
  • Ensure that all work assigned is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Keep classified maintenance records up to date.
  • Monitor, check and liaise with workshop personnel (in-house and contractor workshops) to ensure that maintenance works are carried out as planned and scheduled.
  • Enforce and maintain the Company Code of Conduct and compliance with Company Standards, procedures, rules and guidelines.
  • Monitor on site Warehouse parts support and offer relevant stocking levels updates.
  • Report daily on machine fleet Up/Down status.
  • Present daily department production meetings relaying our performance with: KPIs, weekly schedule, running repair achievement and notification backlog.
  • Actively supervise, coach and mentor planners to improve overall skill base and annual leave relief capabilities, inclusive of resource succession planning.
  • Overall department responsibility for the operational capability of SAP and the updating of further upgrades/developments.


Required Experience and Skill Set

  • Able to produce timely and high-quality documentation.
  • Experience and knowledge of time and risk management.
  • CMMS-SAP experience is an asset.
  • Experience as a retail maintenance supplier.
  • Experience as a departmental supervisor.
  • Experience working for an OEM mine equipment supplier.
  • Experience as a mine mechanic.
  • Experience working with SAP/Prometheus scheduling tool is an asset.

Education

     

    The salary range for this position is from $154,106.00 to $188,352.00.
