Job Summary
We are seeking a Mill Maintenance Planner. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Senior Planner, the Mill Maintenance Planner is responsible for all long- and short-term planning for the Mill Fixed Plant and Powerhouse equipment. The successful candidate will be part of a new team and will be responsible for coordinating Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Operations resources to successfully gather information and report in a timely manner. The candidate will be responsible for the planning team and for coordinating with the Equipment Reliability group.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Plan and schedule the work and assist with directing small teams of tradespeople in servicing and rebuilding fixed assets and components such as pumps, screen decks, conveyors, and gearboxes, etc.
- Create and manage long-range and shutdown planning for the fixed plant assets.
- Communicate and ensure adherence to new, modified, or existing procedures and assist in the development and creation of new procedures and work instructions.
- Manage manpower and training requirements.
- Develop and deliver notes for cross-shift communication.
- Communicate requirements for master data changes and master material requests.
- Ensure sign-off forms for stock returns are completed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
- Manage all day-to-day SAP activities, including history input.
- Participate in weekly stakeholder scheduling meetings.
- Manage the ordering of direct charge items for rebuilds and urgent and/or immediate work.
- Participate in the creation of OPEX/CAPEX budgets and in quarterly re-forecasts.
- Initiate and support equipment and process improvement ideas.
- Initiate and support cost-saving measures.
Required Experience and Skill Set
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
- An engineering background or a Red Seal Trade Certificate in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
- 3+ years of SAP planning experience required.
- SAP/Prometheus scheduling tool experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of time and risk management.
- Experience and knowledge concerning Work Breakdown Structure and Critical Path Management.
- Experience in planning for fixed plant equipment.
- CMMS-SAP experience is an asset, as is proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

The salary range for this position is from $129,898.00 to $157,176.97.
