The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is owned by Equinox Gold Corp., a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

 

Greenstone Mine is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Advisor is responsible for assisting the team with HR guidance, support, and various duties associated with Human Resources.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Provide Human Resources advice, support, solutions and recommendations to the management team and employees in a professional, efficient and practical manner
  • Ensure timely scheduling and completion of on-boarding and orientation for all new hires.
  • Perform daily Human Resource administration duties such as updating employee records, relevant forms, filling and tracking documents, data entry and scheduling meetings
  • Advise and support the managers and employees for questions related to human resources, particularly policies and procedures.
  • Induct new employees and explain the policies and procedures in force on human resources and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with the labour laws.
  • Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety, code of conduct and all majors governance policies.
  • Assist in recruitment activities such as developing job descriptions and keep them up to date.
  • Assist management with employment relations activities

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • A degree or diploma in business administration, Human Resources or relevant education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience. Experience in mining or related industry is an asset

 

LOCATION

  • This position will be based in Geraldton on a 7/7, 5/2, or 4/3 rotation.
