The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Dozer Operator is responsible for safely and productively operating tracked Dozers varying in operating weight.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Operate the Dozer in a safe and efficient way in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures.
- Monitor gauges, and other indicators to make ensure the Dozer is working properly, report discrepancies to dispatch.
- Perform Field Level Risk Assessments.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping as well as lubricating and refilling all fluids as required.
- Use two-way-radio, horn, and light signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety.
- Use the Dozer according to operating practices to push and place materials such as overburden, sand, gravel, blasted rock, and snow. Build pads, build roads, prep drill patterns, rip & maintain pit floors, support loading units as well as perform shovel clean ups.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- A minimum of 2 years of experience operating a Dozer in a mine setting
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior experience in an industrial setting - mine site experience is required
- Heavy Equipment Operator Training or pertinent experience is required
- Ontario Surface Common Core Training is an asset
LOCATION
- This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario on a rotational basis.
