The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Assist with tasks set out in the Environmental Monitoring Plan such as sampling, inspections of work sites to identify potential impacts and investigate environmental incidents.

Follow field procedures and receive training on collecting samples and monitoring data outlined by environmental permits, regulations, and systems in accordance with sampling protocols.

Provide input on environmental programs and practices to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.

Assist in compiling and reviewing data to identify trends and maintain site compliance.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

Diploma or Bachelors degree in Environmental Management, Science or Engineering

1-2 years of relevant work experience in environmental sampling

Experience operating snow mobiles, ATVs and boats

Valid Driver’s License
LOCATION
This position will be based at the mine site in Geraldton, ON. Those working a 1/1 or 2/2 rotation will stay at an onsite camp.
