Greenstone Mine is seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, the Emergency Response Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of emergency response activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Assist with the development and review of comprehensive emergency response plans.
• Facilitate and participate in incident/accident investigations and risk assessments, identifying potential emergency scenarios.
• Develop and promote the adoption of new safety training programs and practices while maintaining a strong base of core safety practices.
• Organize and conduct regular emergency response training for all site personnel.
• Maintain and update emergency response equipment and supplies.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to create a positive collaborative work environment.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently prioritize multiple tasks.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an emergency response coordinator, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
• Experience in developing and implementing emergency response plans.
• Qualification in High Angle Rescue, Fire Fighting, Spill Response, Vehicle Extraction and First Aid
• Proficient in Microsoft and experience with Health and Safety software program

LOCATION

• This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario.
