Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Exploration, the Exploration Database and GIS Administrator is responsible for the management, integrity, security, and effective use of geological, drilling, sampling, spatial, and exploration datasets across the Company’s Ontario assets. The role provides technical leadership and oversight in database administration, GIS systems, data governance, and digital workflows to support exploration decision-making, resource growth, and efficient program execution.
The position works closely with exploration, technical services, consultants, and external service providers to ensure timely delivery of accurate and accessible data products, mapping, and reporting tools. This position is based in Vancouver, BC or Ontario, Canada, with occasional travel to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management and continuous improvement of exploration database, GIS, and digital information systems across the Company’s Ontario assets.
- Ensure integrity, security, governance, and accessibility of geological, drilling, sampling, assay, and spatial data.
- Establish and maintain data standards, validation controls, and best practices for technical data management and reporting.
- Oversee delivery of accurate and timely datasets, maps, dashboards, and reporting tools to support exploration planning and decision-making.
- Support exploration program execution through effective field data capture, sample tracking, and integration with modelling and technical workflows.
- Coordinate compilation, validation, and delivery of data for internal stakeholders, consultants, auditors, due diligence reviews, and technical studies.
- Lead GIS management of spatial datasets including tenure, geology, infrastructure, environmental, and planning layers.
- Maintain technical records, document control systems, and historical exploration archives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Support preparation of regular management and technical reporting packages.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the Company’s digital exploration capability and data-driven culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skill Set
- 3+ years of experience in mineral exploration, mining, database management, GIS, or related technical roles.
- Strong understanding of drilling, sampling, geological logging, survey control, and assay workflows.
- Proficiency with industry software including Leapfrog, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, and data reporting tools.
- Experience with SQL, scripting, automation, or Power BI is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and operational teams.
- Experience in remote or operating mine environments is an asset.

Education

The salary range for this position is from $95,700.00 to $143,500.00.
