Job Summary:

The Inventory Analyst & Planner is responsible for analyzing inventory data, supporting material planning, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating replenishment activities to ensure materials are available to support safe and reliable operations. This role uses ERP/WMS systems (Preferably SAP & Power BI), advanced Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis to identify trends, resolve inventory issues, improve forecast accuracy, reduce stockouts and excess inventory, and support effective inventory control across receiving, issuing, storage, and logistics processes.

This is an onsite position at the mine site. Candidates should ideally reside or open to relocate to the Yuma, AZ area or to the Imperial Valley, CA. surrounding areas.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze inventory levels, usage patterns, demand trends, and replenishment needs to support accurate material planning and inventory availability.
• Monitor stockouts, overstock, slow-moving inventory, obsolete materials, and critical spares, and recommend corrective actions to improve inventory performance.
• Run, review, and maintain reports related to open orders, kitting requirements, material availability, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and warehouse performance.
• Develop, monitor, and report on inventory and warehouse performance metrics to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams, maintenance, operations, procurement, and site personnel to align material planning with operational priorities and upcoming work requirements.
• Maintain and update item records, planning parameters, minimum/maximum levels, reorder points, lead times, and other inventory master data as needed.
• Identify cataloging opportunities, duplicate items, data gaps, and item master improvements, and submit required documentation to Inventory Control or appropriate stakeholders.
• Support cycle count, physical inventory, reconciliation, and variance investigation activities to improve inventory accuracy and accountability.
• Use ERP/WMS data, advanced Excel, and basic SQL or reporting tools to investigate inventory issues, prepare analysis, and support decision-making.
• Provide strong customer service by responding to material availability questions, resolving inventory-related issues, and communicating status updates to internal customers and site teams.
• Identify process improvement opportunities related to inventory planning, warehouse workflows, reporting, and material availability, and support implementation of effective work practices.
• Promote and comply with company safety standards, including maintaining full compliance with Equinox Gold, Western Mesquite Mines, and Castle Mines site regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of inventory control, inventory planning, warehouse, supply chain, logistics, or related operational experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and recommend practical solutions.
• Ability to input, retrieve, validate, and analyze inventory, planning, and transactional data from ERP/WMS systems.
• Working knowledge of inventory planning concepts, including reorder points, min/max levels, lead times, demand history, critical spares, and slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required; experience with pivot tables, lookup formulas, data validation, and reporting dashboards preferred.
•  Experience using ERP systems (SAP and or Power BI a plus), warehouse management systems, barcode technology, or inventory reporting tools preferred.
•   Basic SQL, Power BI, or other data query/reporting experience is a plus.
•   Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and changing operational priorities.
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with warehouse, procurement, maintenance, operations, and site teams.

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., APICS/ASCM Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) are a plus.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

Working Conditions

Work is performed at an active mine site that may include open pit mining, processing facilities, leach pads, maintenance areas, and office environments. Employees may be exposed to extreme weather conditions associated with a desert climate, including high heat, cold temperatures, wind, dust, and occasional precipitation or flash flooding. Depending on the role, work areas may involve proximity to large mobile equipment, moving mechanical parts, blasting activities, noise, vibration, diesel exhaust fumes, chemicals, fuels, oils, airborne particles, or other industrial hazards typical of mining operations. Outdoor work on uneven or rough terrain is common for many roles. Employees may encounter desert wildlife and native plant life. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as determined by job duties, task hazards, and work location. PPE includes, but is not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, and other PPE as determined by job task and location.

Physical Demands:

Manual dexterity; handling and grasping; fingering and fine motor skills; speaking clearly; hearing in speech, radio, and environmental ranges; seeing, reading, and comprehension; near and distant vision; depth perception. While performing job responsibilities, employees must be able to communicate effectively and maintain situational awareness in an active mining environment. Physical activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or working on uneven surfaces. Use of hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, controls, or computer systems is required. Specific physical demand requirements will be provided during the interview process. The hourly pay range for this position starts at $33.42- $44.42 based on experience
