Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is a 60/40 joint venture partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group formed for the purpose of the joint ownership and development of the Greenstone Gold Property including the Greenstone Mine located on a historical mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone belt in Ontario. The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Human Resources Recruiter to join our team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for posting job applications online, examining resumes, screening potential candidates, and setting up interviews with candidates. To ensure success as a Human Resources Recruiter, you should have advanced knowledge of recruitment techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Participate in recruitment efforts, including writing and publishing job ads, managing, and tracking applicants, reviewing resumes, conducting preliminary phone interviews, scheduling interviews, and checking references.
- Recruit applicants for open positions, making public presentations regarding the company and job opportunities.
- Work with Manager’s to develop updated and accurate job descriptions for each position.
- Develop role specific interview guides to ensure consistency in the hiring process.
- Track applicants and applicant feedback received during screening process to assist in determining hiring barriers.
- Review all applicants and identify potential candidates to be prescreened.
- Prescreen and provide managers with feedback to determine if they will move to the next step.
- Conduct interviews with hiring managers and provide feedback.
- Complete reference checks prior to hiring candidate.
- Develop strategies and opportunities to improve attraction of talent with a focus on local communities.
- Assist in day-to-day HR activities as required.
- Attend and participate in career fairs and other recruiting events as required.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Any additional duties as required.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrated experience with full cycle recruitment.
- Experience working with human resource information systems and applicant tracking.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to respond to multiple and often competing priorities.
- Strong initiative and willingness to learn.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation
- High standard of customer service
- Proficient in various MS Office applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to embrace ambiguity and organizational change.
- Ability to build trust and working relationships through respect and integrity, open communication, teamwork, and relationship management.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- A post-secondary Diploma in Human Resources.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant human resources recruiter experience.
- Experience in mining or related industry is an asset
LOCATION
- This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario or remotely with travel to Geraldton on a regular basis.
