Greenstone Mine - Co-Op Mobile Maintenance Engineer
Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is a 60/40 joint venture partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group formed for the purpose of the joint ownership and development of the Greenstone Gold Property including the Greenstone Mine located on a historical mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone belt in Ontario. The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Co-op Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Reliability Engineer, the Co-op Mobile Maintenance Engineer is responsible for helping us supporting the Maintenance team through continuous improvement and ensuring regulatory compliance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
• Participate in our oil sampling program and provide recommendations for watchlist components and further review.
• Assist with undercarriage measurements and in-service component heath reviews, developing better predictions for overall component lifetimes and benchmarks.
• Help with failure analyses when required and provide recommendations to improve asset reliability and reduce operating costs.
• Analyse the monthly plan and compute weekly schedule compliance. Ensure downtime is recorded accurately. Help to calculate and report KPIs to the team, then provide steps to improve.
• Stay appraised of asset health, review benchmarks and failures, advise about potential component replacements.
• Assist with stocked items, rebuildable components, and critical spares inventory reviews.
• Prepare and check calculations, documents, drawings, cost estimates, and tests for maintenance improvement initiatives with the Mine Maintenance Reliability Engineer.
• Conduct worksite observations for planned maintenance and project shutdowns. Participate in after action reviews to continually improve the maintenance process.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
• 2nd-year student or above, currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent postsecondary certificate/diploma
• At least 1 previous work experience at a mine site is desirable
o Open-pit mine site an asset
o Gold mine an asset
• Valid driver’s license
LOCATION
• This position based in Geraldton, Ontario on a rotational basis.
