Greenstone Mine - Mill Operations General Foreman
Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is a 60/40 joint venture partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group formed for the purpose of the joint ownership and development of the Greenstone Gold Property including the Greenstone Mine located on a historical mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone belt in Ontario. The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mill Operations General Foreman to join our team. Reporting to the Mill Operations Superintendent, the Mill Operations General Foreman will play a key leadership role in the development of a new gold processing plant. During the project execution phase, the incumbent will be a key player in the ramp out of processing activities from an operating perspective.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Develop the standard operating procedures and ensure the operating team has been certified to operate the unit operations safely and effectively.
- Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures, statutory requirements including employment standards, health and safety, environment, and company policies.
- Mentor and support the plant operations team with a particular focus on training and overall skills development.
- Ensure resources are available and utilized in an effective and efficient manner. Set clear performance objectives, provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Lead by example, and promote a culture of safety and environmental protection in the workplace
- Plan and organize work, oversee work progress and achieve production targets
- Recognize and anticipate operational opportunities / challenges to continuously improve the operation.

- Candidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills, be able to deliver a message confidently and calmly

- Ability to work with a diverse operating group
- Intermediate knowledge with MS Office
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Highschool diploma or equivalent, a college degree in Metallurgy is an asset.
- Common Core for Basic Mill Operator
- 10 years gold milling operational experience with 5+ years in a Supervisory role
- Thorough knowledge of Ministry Regulations

- This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario.
